Icelandic USA’s solid foundation of customers and suppliers was one of the main attractions for Canadian frozen food supplier High Liner Foods, which on Thursday acquired the company for $230.6 million (€170 million).

High Liner will work hard to prevent any disruption between Icelandic USA and its current customers,  Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Nelson told IntraFish on Thursday.

“We bought the business because of the strong customer base they have, so we are trying to maintain that and grow it if we can,” Nelson said.
