Seattle-based Trident Seafoods’ plans to set up on the East Coast of the United States did not come as a shock to Henry Demone, CEO of High Liner Foods.
“These plans are no surprise to us, as there have been rumors for months,” Demone told IntraFish. “Trident is a good competitor that we respect.”
Demone declined to comment further, other than to add High Liner will “need to maintain our focus on innovation, quality and cost control and will work very hard to please our customers.”
