The wild catch sector of the Faroe Islands may get the brunt of an European Union (EU) trade ban, but aquaculture products will not be affected, said directors at Faroe Islands' biggest feed producer Havsbrun.
Yet the Scottish pelagic industry keeps hinting that the ban should extend to cover aquaculture products as well, as the two disputed stocks in question -- mackerel and herring -- are used in feed production that is consumed by the aquaculture sector on the Faroe Islands.
