Taiwan’s shrimp and feed giant Grobest Holdings Limited opened its $15 million (€13.8 million) feed production facility in Tarlac in the Philippines on Dec. 3, reported Interaksyon.
Situated on a 14.2-hectare property in Purok 1, Barangay Singat in the town of Gerona, Grobest Feeds Philippines Inc. will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 metric tons of aquatic feeds and 200,000 metric tons of livestock feeds.
The facility will employ up to 200 local workers and indirectly benefit thousands of stakeholders in the aquaculture sector.
