Frank Flear, a pioneer in Grimsby’s seafood processing sector and founder of Seachill passed away on March 20 at the age of 84, reports The Grimsby Telegraph.

Flear founded two major companies in the seafood sector, Bluecrest, which became Young’s Seafood, and Seachill, a supplier of chilled fish to the UK retail market.

He started his career as a seafood buyer for Ross Group, where he was given the chance to run a factory on his own at the age of 23.
