Globus SB-Warenhaus Holding, a German supermarket group, is already in talks with its suppliers to find other sources of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified salmon.

Globus -- which has €2.9 billion ($3.9 billion) turnover in retail and fresh fish counters in 40 stores in Germany -- will ask its suppliers to continue with certified salmon, said its fresh fish and cheese buyer, Juergen Pauly.

“We will not change. We have needed years to inform consumers about MSC, a worldwide way to sustainability,” he told IntraFish.
