The first sample consignments of live Norwegian seafood were flown to China a few weeks ago. Logistics and distributors are now in place.
Last Wednesday, the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) held a course at a chefs’ training college in Shanghai for 60 chefs from exclusive restaurants. The city has 19 million inhabitants.
The theme day was dedicated to live seafood from Norway. Leaders for the course were the Norwegian master chef Geir Skeie and Da Dong. Da Dong is one of China’s celebrity chefs and renowned for cooking the world’s best Peking Duck.
