French smoked salmon supplier Labeyrie Fine Foods has appointed Nathalie Reye-Lacroix as managing director to lead its specialized markets business unit.

She will preside over the company's foodservice, specialized stores for organic, fresh and frozen foodstuffs as well as private label business.

Reye-Lacroix who joined the Labeyrie group to develop the aperitif category with the Blini and L'Atelier Blini brands, succeeds the retiring Jean-Claude Hernandez.

Her background is in consumer goods, having worked for Danone and Yoplait.
