French shrimp processor Escal has launched two lines of Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)-approved shrimp.
Escal says its 'king size' Ecuadorian line, available in 250 gram size, is guaranteed antibiotic free at all stages of the production process.
The Alsace region-based processor has also launched a smaller cocktail shrimp product available in 330 gram packs.
Both products have a recommended selling price of €8.90 ($9.94).
Escal has also given a makeover to packaging for its BIO shrimp range launched in 2010.
