Former Skretting Managing Director Steven Rafferty was appointed managing director of Cermaq Chile.
"He is definitely the right person for this task, bringing with him broad knowledge from the industry and is business savvy," said Cermaq CEO Geir Molvik.
Rafferty is replacing Cermaq Chile interim managing director Morten Nærland -- CFO with Cermaq -- who took over the role after MD Francisco Miranda stepped down from his position in 2018.
Rafferty's appointment at Cermaq is a return to the company -- the executive formerly served as CFO at the salmon farming group, and later as COO for global farming.
Rafferty has held a range of other roles in the seafood sector, including stints at Marine Harvest and Morpol.
