Huw Thomas, formerly technical director for Cumbrian Seafoods, is to take up a role with WM Morrison Supermarkets, which has bought its own seafood plant in Grimsby and is expanding its seafood division.
Thomas, who has also previously worked with Amanda Foods in Singapore and Vietnam as well as Lyons Seafood and King and Prince Seafood in the United States, will start on June 11, sources told IntraFish.
Morrisons declined to comment to IntraFish.
The role will be based in Bradford, in the Morrisons head office, and will encompass seafood sustainability.
