The Scottish Salmon Producers Organization (SSPO) has appointed Atholl Duncan, a former BBC News leader with several years of experience as a corporate executive coach, as its new chair.

He is currently the chairman of UK Coaching, the national body for sports coaches, and a former chair of the British Horseracing Authority.

Duncan will take on the position in September, replacing Gilpin Bradley, the managing director of Wester Ross Fisheries who took on the role of chair on a temporary basis two years ago.
