The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has charged a former Starkist senior vice president with price fixing, deepening an investigation that has already snared top executives at Bumble Bee, according to Law360.com.

Stephen Hodge, Starkist's senior vice president of sales, was charged with a single count of price fixing last week, according to the site.

Hodge's charge stemmed from "criminal information," which means executives negotiating plea deals provided the information, according to Reuters.

In December of last year, Bumble Bee's current senior VP Kenneth Worsham was charged with a one-count felony charge for his role in the price-fixing conspiracy.
