Faroese fishing company buys Larsen Danish Seafood out of administration

The Faroese fishing company Christian i Grotinum bought Larsen Danish Seafood out of administration, the company told IntraFish.

"We signed the contract with the insolvency administrator last night," Jan Petersen, CFO of Christian i Grotinum, said.

Petersen said the company has been looking for a way to add value to its raw material for some time.

"We have been looking to find some was of creating more value out of the quota that we have," Petersen said. "And we have tried to find the solution through canning or somehow creating more value."
