ISA very nearly decimated the Faroese aquaculture industry in 2003, but industry and authorities rallied and implemented a rescue action that ultimately saved the sector.

Chairman of the Faroese fish farmers association Foroya Havbunadarfelag, Ragnar Joensen, told Faroese TV he's not worried, and hasn't heard any anxiety voiced by colleagues.

Joensen, who heads Marine Harvest locally, said the changes made to regulations and the control system in force on the archipelago is the best in the world.
