Many salmon producers that intraFish spoke to this Friday, July 22, said that they are not harvesting due to holidays or lack of fish that is ready to harvest.
Those who did communicate about prices talked of a highly unclear picture.
According to one producer in northern Norway, and to one exporter, prices are around NOK 26 (€3.36/$4.82) to NOK 26.50 (€3.43/$4.91) per kilo.
“Both buyers and suppliers are being slow at making up their minds today [Friday],” one Norwegian exporter said. “So far I have not sealed any agreement for a single kilo of salmon.”
