“This will allow Expack to expand its seafood sales throughout the United States,” the company said Friday.
Mark McCloskey, president and CEO Expack, declined to comment.
Since Friday, Rymer’s Chicago office has answered calls as Chicago Expack, according to a company representative.
Expack imports and distributes to the foodservice and retail industries frozen shrimp, lobster, crab, calamari, mussels, and fish. The company maintains sales offices in Kirkland, Wash.; Boca Raton, Fla.; Saint Simons Island, Ga.; and Toronto.
San Francisco-based seafood importer H&N Foods International purchased a majority ownership in Expack from Export Packers Ltd.
