The third World Ocean Summit, held this year in Cascais, Portugal from June 3 to 6, just weeks away, with an all-star lineup of more than 250 policymakers, global ocean businesses and multilaterals that will explore, among other topics, the role of fisheries and aquaculture in advancing the blue economy. Specific discussions on fisheries and aquaculture policy and investment will be included as part of the packed 2.5-day program.
The summit, hosted in association with National Geographic, will convene hundreds of global leaders from business, government, think tanks and academia over two days of presentations, interactive panels and networking sessions.
Last year’s event attracted over 200 attendees, and brought together a range of stakeholders to discuss solutions to the challenges for developing the ocean economy.
