Salmon feed manufacturer Ewos improved its global market share from 33 percent in 2009 to 37 percent in 2011, according to figures presented at Cermaq’s capital market day held in Bodo, Norway last Wednesday.
Presumably this makes Ewos the largest of the three dominant salmon feed manufacturers on a global basis.
Ewos is largest in Norway, Chile and Scotland – which are the top three countries for salmon production.
Last year, Ewos produced 1.1 million metric tons of feed for salmonids.
The company is also diversifying to include other species, but as yet production is minimal.
