Bjordal, gave IntraFish his opinion on 2009 and how 2010 will shape up for the aquaculture industry.
IntraFish: Is Norway at risk in 2010 of becoming more like disease-stricken Chile than we would like to imagine – in regard to the problems with lice and disease?
KB: We don’t want to see Chilean conditions in Norway. Our regime is much more secure, and time after time the industry has shown when the chips are down it’s all hands on deck. Coordinated.
IF: Will the industry manage to get on top of the lice problems in 2010?
KB: I’m certain we will get the figures down to previous levels and that we won’t see Chilean conditions in Norway.
