Norwegian fish feed producer Ewos is to pay €130.8 million ($177.9 million) to acquire Pescanova's Chilean salmon farm Nova Austral, reported Faro de Vigo.
The company has reached an agreement with the trustee, Mariclara Gonzaez, as well as the creditors, reported La Presnsa Austral.
Ewos is also expected to inject more than €50 million ($68 million) to recapitalize the salmon producer, so it can continue operations.
A bid was reportedly due to be presented on June 17 at Nova Austral's creditors meeting.
However, Peter Hagen, communications director at Ewos told IntraFish, the reports in the Chilean and Spanish press are not true, and Ewos has not acquired Acuinova.
