AIPCE is a European federation consisting of the national industrial organizations for companies that process, import and export seafood. Almost all of the EU’s member countries are represented in AIPCE. Norway is an associated member through the Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL). The Moroccan organization is also an associated member.
“It’s still difficult to present a total picture. The basis for figures is not ready as yet. Each country has to be considered individually,” Pastoor told IntraFish.
However, his impression is nonetheless that high prices have had a negative effect on demand.
