The chairman of a Danish aquaculture industry body recently expressed his bitterness over the European Union's lack of concrete progress on aquaculture development.

"The EU is clever at toasting in fine words, while aquaculture stagnates or recedes in the EU region. That's the way it's been for the past 20-30 years," Karl Iver Dahl-Madsen wrote in Dansk Akvakultur's most recent newsletter.
