The “turnaround” of Rahbekfisk, now a fully integrated part of A. Espersen, is underway, said the CEO of the Bornholm-based processor.
Rahbekfisk, a value-added processor for retail and foodservice based in Fredericia, Denmark, had a tough 2011, Klaus Nielsen told IntraFish.
“We cut down the amount of SKUs [stock-keeping units] from Rahbekfisk and we are seeing a turnaround," Nielsen (pictured) said.
"Last year, we were hit by increased prices on raw material. We hit the top line targets, but the gross margin was under pressure."
