Ecuador’s largest feed producer Nicovita is planning to expand its facilities in the country because it is currently operating at full capacity, Fabricio Vargas, Vitapro’s Ecuador General Manager, told IntraFish.

Nicovita and Salmofood, which are the brands of Vitapro, a subsidiary of the Peruvian company Alicorp, currently produce around 400,000 metric tons of feed annually from its three plants located in Peru, Ecuador and Chile.

The company’s current capacity in Ecuador is around 170,000 metric tons, and it also imports a certain amount from its facility in Peru.
