Omarsa ranked fifth in Ecuador’s top shrimp exporters last year, with exports of 24.56 million pounds (11.14 metric tons) totalling $74 million.

This will give it 3,000 ha. of organic shrimp farms and an annual production of between 6,000 metric tons and 7,000 metric tons, said Sandro Coglitore, the company’s general manager. Its current organic production is around 5,000 metric tons.
