The lobster industry is looking to move its extra inventory, the result of high lobster landings coupled with lower demand.
"Over the fall Maine season we saw increased landings of lobster, but due to lower demand of the European live business, most of the product went to processing," AHG President and CEO Michael Tourkistas told IntraFish.
American Holdco Group (AHG) owns lobster distributor East Coast Seafood, lobster processor Paturel International Company and operates a joint venture with Garbo Lobster: Maine Fair Trade Lobster.
