South Korean tuna giant Dongwon Group will sign the deal for a cannery in Senegal Thursday, a spokesman for the Senegalese government told IntraFish.
Khouraichi Thiam, Senegal’s minister of maritime economy and fisheries, is traveling to Seoul Thursday and will sign the deal with Dongwon for Societe Nouvelle de Conserves du Senegal (SNCDS) later in the day, the spokesman said.
IntraFish reported Dongwon was eyeing a move for SNCDS in October. A delegation from the Senegal government have been at the Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo 2011, where IntraFish is reporting live.
