Diversified Communications, owner of the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels, said Thursday it has no plans to cancel the April 26-28 event despite the terror attacks that shook the city on Tuesday.

"At this time, there are no plans to cancel this year’s exposition," the company said, noting that it has been working with the city of Brussels over the past six months "enhancing and strengthening security."

Tighter security will be in place at the event, Diversified said, including metal detectors, photo ID checks and a search of all bags being brought into the hall. Size restrictions for bags will also be in place.

Police officers, explosive detection dogs and other security and law enforcement officials will be both inside and outside of the halls.

Shuttle service to the expo will also be expanded, in addition to the complimentary metro passes.

Diversified encouraged attendees to avoid bulky clothing and leave bags and luggage at their hotels.

Security updates for the event are being posted on this page.
