Increased costs brought on by issues with pancreas disease (PD) and sea lice, dragged down the results of Norwegian salmon farmer K. Strommen Lakseoppdrett in 2015.

The company saw its revenues increase to NOK 193.1 million (€20.8 million/$23.7 million) in 2015, up from NOK 181.7 million (€19.6 million/$22.3 million) in 2014, but operating profit fell down to NOK 20.4 million (€2.2 million/$2.5 million) from NOK 56.6 million (€6.1 million/$7 million) the year before.

This was due to “challenges and increased costs related to the introduction pancreas disease in Nordfjord, and increased costs related to sea lice in 2015.”
