Thai giant Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) saw sales grow 8 percent in 2018 to THB 541,937 million (€15.4 billion/$17.4 billion) while net profit hit THB 15,531 million (€440.8 million/$499.4 million), driven predominantly by overseas expansion.

Sooksunt Jiumjaiswanglerg, CEO for agro-industrial business and co-president of CPF, said the company's sales revenue grew 12 percent year on year. Overseas businesses contributed 67 percent of sales.

"The annualized sales revenue should continue growing by 8-10 percent in 2019, thanks to continued growth in overseas operations following the expansion in aquatic and non-aquatic businesses," Jiumjaiswanglerg said.
