Publicly listed Thai food giant Charoen Pokphand (CP Foods) launched a new project to end coal usage at all of its operations in Thailand by 2022.

The project "CP Foods Coal Free by the year 2022" is in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals and will later be applied to all of CP Foods operations worldwide.

The company will replace fuel and coal with biomass power in four plants, including several of its aquaculture feed mills.

CP Foods kicked off other green initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals by 2025.
