Maryland-based Congressional Seafood Company named Matthew Berrie the new director of food safety.

Berrie will oversee Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines, and other safety and quality standards at the group's Jessup, Maryland plant.

Berrie previously held roles with Seattle Fish Company and ProFish.
