One of Thailand’s largest commodity shrimp exporters is investing $15 million (€11.1 million) in the second phase of its growth plan, which will see it double its export capacity and target new markets outside of its core U.S. business.
Samutsakorn-based Marine Gold Products is moving equipment into an unused section of its 25,000 square meter plant -- the largest shrimp plant in Thailand -- to increase its output of finished products from 27,000 metric tons to 30,000 metric tons to between 55,000 metric tons and 60,000 metric tons over the next two years.
