Codfarmers CEO Harald Dahl denies media reports that the company is quitting cod production, even though he admits the company is struggling.
“We have plans to substitute part of the raw material with live wild catch cod. But we need to clear new ground first. Regardless, there’s no way we are giving up on production,” Dahl told IntraFish.
Dahl’s remarks came in response to a story in FiskeribladetFiskaren and Intrafish last week, which cited Codfarmers would stop producing cod.
The company's share prices dropped the next morning.
