The UK's Frozen-at-Sea Fillets Association (FASFA) is not expecting “any great interruption” in cod and haddock supplies to UK fish and chip shops even in the case of a hard or no-deal Brexit.

That’s according to Malcom Large, who took over the role of FASFA executive director earlier this year.

“The government has said there will be no tariffs and no tariff barriers to imports from European Economic Area (EEA) countries. Imports from Iceland and Norway won’t be affected, Russia is outside the EU anyway, and its requirements are unlikely to change,” Large said.
