With only three harvesting days left before Christmas, Norwegian salmon prices are up around NOK 2 (€0.21/$0.23) to NOK 3 (€0.32/$0.34) compared with the level last week – surpassing the NOK 50 (€5.30/$5.70) level.
According to a number of industry players approached by IntraFish, there are few fish available and it is a strong market in the run up to Christmas, especially for the larger sizes.
Several player are reporting the following prices:
• Sizes 3-4 kg – NOK 53 (€5.60/$60) to NOK 53.50
