While pollock prices went up by between $20 (€15.10) to $30 (€22.60), increased operational costs were not reflected in the contracts, Frank Bodin, CEO at The Hadley Company, said.
"With the contracts made in March, April, May this year the big buyers forced processors in China down in price," he said.
Prices for H&G Russian twice frozen pollock, delivered China, settled at around $1,400 (€1,054)/MT to $1,500 (€1,129)/MT, he said.
