China processor: MSC should check salmon labeling too

Chinese processors are likely to be offering non-Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified wild salmon as certified, said the top executive with a processor, who wished to be quoted anonymously.

The executive, who contacted IntraFish after reading a story on the MSC investigating the possibility Chinese plants are selling Russian, non-certified, pollock as certified, said the same thing could also be happening with non-certified Russian salmon.
