Last year, Invertec produced around 11,000 metric tons whole fish equivalent (WFE) which earned the company around $ 45 million (€31.5 million). This year the estimate is for 20,000 metric tons, which will realize sales of $100 million (€70 million), said CEO Andres Parodi (pictured).
The best year for production at Ivertec was 2008 with 22,000 metric tons.
This year’s production of 20,000 metric tons is distributed as follows: 2,000 metric tons of coho; 10,000 metric tons of rainbow trout; and 8,000 metric tons of Atlantic salmon.
