While exports of salmon from Norway -- and other European suppliers -- to Russia have fallen this year, the opposite trend is happening with exports from Chile.
Both exports of Atlantic salmon and trout from Chile have increased this year to the Russian market.
Although the latest Norwegian salmon export statistics give the impression of a drop in volume going into Russia, this is not the case.
“The strong growth of Chile exports more than compensates for the drop from Norway and other manufacturers,” Paul T.
