Two salmon companies were included in the latest list issued by the Chilean employment inspectorate (Direccion del Trabajo): Cultivos Marinos Chiloé and Salmonet.
A total of 36 companies from many branches of the industry are on the list, which concerns breaches of the law from the beginning of this year. The list was published Aug. 8, the website Aqua reports.
The companies on the list are prohibited to conduct public acquisitions for two years.
The website’s article does not elaborate on whether the two salmon players have had to pay a fine, as has been the case with several of the other companies.
