Cargill’s acquisition of Ewos was a “perfect match," said Einar Wathne, the newly named president of Cargill Aqua Nutrition in a special presentation at the IntraFish Seafood Investor Forum last week.
Cargill’s purpose is to be the global leader in "nourishing people," and aquaculture was the next obvious area for the company to invest in heavily, said Wathne.
Cargill Aqua Nutrition gained a global reach overnight following the acquisition -- Ewos and Cargill are now present in more than 20 countries worldwide within the aquafeed sector.
