Canfisco closing deal to buy Leader Creek Fisheries

The deal for Seattle-based Leader Creek is expected to close by the end of the year, a Canfisco executive told IntraFish on Monday.

"We haven’t completed the deal yet," said Dan Nomura, the company's president. "We are in the process of due diligence. We hope that the deal wil close by the end of December."

The price of the transaction was not disclosed.

Leader Creek specializes in the sale of Alaska sockeye salmon. Leader Creek founder John Lowrance, who started the company in 1999, will continue to head the company.
