"I think it's offensive and rude for people to carry on their business when people in the other booth are trying to enjoy their meal," Christopher said.

With the prevalence of cell phone use in public places nowadays, a number of small businesses such as Ezell's are making it clear those conversations can be put on hold -- at least while customers are at their businesses.
