Denver-based Seattle Fish sells a significant amount of Alaska king crab and during the holiday season. Seattle Fish Purchasing Director Harry Mahleres told IntraFish customers are "gravitating toward the larger legs."
But "sky-high" king crab prices three years ago made people "fall off the crab bandwagon."
In the years since, prices softened a bit but this year, they have firmed back up.
