In the future the ministry proposes that producers who breach the biomass regulations shall penalized according to the following formula:
Sales price per kilo -feed costs per kilo -0.003 court fee per kilo = Profit per kilo + one, three, six, 10, 20 or 30 G = contravention fee.
One G is currently NOK 75,641 (€9,477/$12,313).
Let us say a farmer produces 100 metric tons too much the calculation might look like this, with a sales price of NOK 35 (€4.39/$5.70) per kilo and feed costs of NOK 8.00
