When American Seafoods CEO Bernt Bodal makes his debut on the reality TV show “Undercover Boss” on Friday, US viewers will see a rags-to-riches story come full circle.
Bodal returned to a workplace he left more than 20 years ago – a fishing vessel on the Bering Sea. He had arrived from Norway in 1978 to work as a deckhand and rose through the ranks for 13 years.
“When I started, I didn’t have a strong formal education, and it was a way to make money, and it was a lifetstyle – you either hate it or you like it, and liked it,” Bodal said.
