The Danish feed company posted a profit of DKK 17 million (€2.3 million/$2.9 million) in the second quarter of 2010, but that was not enough to offset a loss of DKK 30 million (€4 million/$5.2 million) for the first half of the year.
Turnover for the quarter reached DKK 1,189 million (€159.6 million/$204.7 million), on par with the same period last year.
While BioMar described the half-year results as “unsatisfactory,” it expects better figures for the rest of the year and increased its full-year turnover estimate by 10 percent to DKK5.5
