Prices for sea bass and sea bream are continuing where they left off at the end of 2015, and have seen a “sharp increase” already in the first few weeks of the year, according to industry players.
The average wholesale market prices for both bass and bream are currently €0.50 ($0.54) to €0.80 ($0.87) per kilo higher than during the last few weeks of 2015, depending on the size, Basil Sudborough, marketing and export manager at Greek bass and bream producer Selonda, told IntraFish.
